Referral programme terms

Last updated: 23/09/2026. AU English. All amounts in AUD.

These terms govern the Default Gone customer referral programme. By participating, you agree to these terms. The programme is operated by Default Gone, a consumer-advocacy credit dispute service.

Eligibility

You must be a current Default Gone customer with at least one resolved or in-progress case to participate in the referral programme.

Reward unit

A$120 fuel card per successful referral. Fuel cards are typically issued via Prezzee or an equivalent Australian gift-card platform.

What "successful" means

A referral is successful when the referred customer engages Default Gone and pays our engagement fee. A signup alone does not generate a reward. If the referred customer's payment is later refunded or charged back, the matching reward is reversed.

Fulfilment

Within 2 business days of the referred customer's payment clearing, we will email you the redemption details for your fuel card. Delays beyond this window will be communicated to you in writing.

Maximum referrals

There is no cap on the number of successful referrals you may earn rewards for. Default Gone reserves the right to investigate suspicious patterns — including (but not limited to) self-referral, fake accounts, or coordinated abuse — and to withhold rewards where investigation finds the referral was not genuine.

Self-referral and family sharing

Family members in the same household sharing a referral link with one another is fine. The same individual creating multiple cases under different names to claim rewards is not.

Tax

In general, fuel card rewards under A$300 per financial year are not assessable income to the recipient. Above A$300 per financial year, rewards may be assessable. You are responsible for your own tax position. Where total rewards in a financial year exceed A$300 we will issue you an annual payment summary on request.

Privacy

We do not share your identity with the referred consumer. The referred consumer does not know who referred them unless you tell them yourself. We do not share the referred consumer's identity with you — the referrer dashboard shows only an anonymised case reference and reward status.

Changes and termination

Default Gone may modify or discontinue the referral programme at any time with 30 days' notice. Earned-but-unfulfilled rewards at the time of any such notice will be honoured for 90 days from the notice date.

Disputes

If you have a concern about a reward decision, contact contact@defaultgone.com.au in the first instance. If we cannot resolve the matter, you may refer the dispute to the relevant Australian regulator.

Spam Act 2003

By sharing your referral link, you agree to comply with the Spam Act 2003. Don’t send unsolicited bulk messages with your link — only share with people who would reasonably want to hear from you about Default Gone. Default Gone reserves the right to disqualify referrals received via spam or harvested contact lists.

Compliance posture

Default Gone is a consumer-advocacy service. We are not a law firm; we do not provide legal advice. The referral programme rewards you for sending us new clients — it does not in any way imply that any particular outcome is certain on a referred case.
