How Default Gone helps you challenge a default
Plain English. No surprises. Free chat to start — you only pay the fee when you decide to engage us.
Tell us about the default
Start at /scan/. We’ll ask you a few short questions:
- Your name and contact details
- Who listed the default
- The amount
- Whether it has been paid
- Whether you received a notice
- Whether you have ever disputed it before
Upload your credit report
We’ll ask for your credit report from Equifax, Experian or illion. You can request a free copy from each every three months — we’ll show you how if you don’t have one yet.
We review the possible dispute grounds
We look at the listing and the surrounding facts — including:
- Whether proper notice was given before the listing
- Whether the amount, date or account details are correct
- Whether the payment history was recorded truthfully
- Whether hardship or payment arrangements were properly considered
- Whether the listing is incomplete, out of date or recorded against the wrong person
You sign and verify your ID
You sign the service agreement and the authority to act, and verify your identity. This lets us communicate with the credit provider and the credit reporting body on your behalf.
You pay the flat fee
$399 per consumer, per default. Card via Stripe or Australian bank transfer. No work begins on the dispute itself until payment is received.
We prepare and lodge the dispute
We prepare your dispute on the grounds that fit your case and lodge it with the credit provider and the credit reporting body.
We track the response
We track the response window and chase if needed. If the credit provider refuses or fails to respond and grounds remain, we escalate — included in the fee, no extra charge.
You get a clear outcome
We tell you what was decided in plain English — whether the listing was removed, corrected, updated, or declined — and what your options are from there.
