Terms of Service

Last updated: 8 May 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Default Gone website and the credit dispute services provided by Austech Online (ABN 82 307 630 720, “Default Gone”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By using the website, engaging us, or signing the Service Agreement, you agree to these Terms.

1. About Default Gone

Default Gone is a credit dispute service. We help Australian consumers dispute default listings on their credit file. We are not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice or financial advice. The information on this website is general only and does not take into account your personal circumstances.

2. The service we provide

For each default listing you engage us on, we will:

  1. Analyse the listing for legal grounds for dispute under the Privacy Act 1988 (Part IIIA) and the Credit Reporting Privacy Code 2014.
  2. Prepare a formal dispute and lodge it with the relevant credit provider and the relevant credit bureau.
  3. Track the dispute through the statutory 30-day creditor response window.
  4. Where a credit provider refuses or fails to respond, escalate the dispute through any external review pathway available, at no additional charge.

3. Pricing

Our fee is $399 per consumer per default listing. This is a flat fee that covers the complete work described in clause 2. There are no stage fees, no hourly billing, and no separate escalation charges.

The fee is payable after you have signed the Service Agreement, completed identity verification, and uploaded the credit reports we require — but before we lodge the dispute.

Each consumer’s credit file is their own. If two or more people share a default listing (for example, joint account holders), each consumer must engage us separately. The fee is $399 per consumer per default — even where the underlying debt is the same — because each credit file requires its own dispute, its own authority to act, and its own engagement.

4. What we do not promise

We do not guarantee that any default will be removed. The fee is for the work we perform, not the outcome. Outcomes depend on the specific facts of each case and the response of the credit provider and credit bureau. We do not give probability scores, success-rate estimates, or removal timelines beyond the statutory 30-day creditor response window.

5. Technology-assisted service delivery

Default Gone uses technology to assist with intake, document collection, dispute preparation, case tracking and customer updates. Our systems help us prepare structured dispute correspondence and manage response timeframes. You acknowledge that technology-assisted systems may be used as part of the service. You also acknowledge that outcomes depend on the facts of your case and the response of the relevant credit provider, credit reporting body or external review pathway. We do not use technology to guarantee outcomes, provide legal advice or provide financial advice.

6. Engagement and the Service Agreement

You engage us by signing the Service Agreement we present to you, completing identity verification, and uploading your credit reports. The Service Agreement, together with these Terms, forms the contract between you and us.

7. Your obligations

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
  • Provide your credit reports from Equifax and Experian (and illion if applicable) within a reasonable time.
  • Notify us promptly of any communication you receive from a credit provider or credit bureau about a listing we are disputing for you.
  • Not engage another provider to dispute the same listing while we are engaged on it.

8. 14-day cooling-off period

You may cancel the Service Agreement within 14 days of signing it for any reason. If you cancel within the cooling-off period and we have not yet lodged the dispute, you will receive a full refund of any fees paid. If we have already lodged the dispute, we will refund any fees paid less reasonable charges for work performed.

9. After the cooling-off period

After 14 days, cancellation is subject to reasonable charges for work already performed. We will provide an itemised breakdown on request. If we have lodged a dispute on your behalf and you cancel, we may continue to receive responses from the credit provider or bureau until the dispute is closed.

10. Authority to act

You will sign a separate Authority to Act authorising us to communicate with credit providers and credit bureaus on your behalf about the listings you have engaged us on. The Authority remains in force until you revoke it in writing or the dispute is resolved.

11. Payment terms

Card payments are processed via Stripe. Bank transfers are made to the Austech Online account at ANZ (BSB 014701, Account 801071247). Each invoice carries a unique ENV reference number which must be quoted on the bank transfer.

12. Communication

By engaging us, you consent to receive communications by email, SMS, and phone (including from our AI advisor) about your case. We will not send unsolicited marketing communications without your prior consent. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time.

13. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited to the amount of fees you have paid us in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the liability. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of credit opportunity, loss of business, or emotional distress. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

14. Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel and to a refund for the unused portion. For services that fall short of acceptable quality but the failure is not major, you may have the failure remedied within a reasonable time.

15. Termination by us

We may terminate the Service Agreement if you provide false or misleading information, fail to provide required documents within a reasonable time after request, behave abusively toward our AI advisor or operations administrators, or breach any material term. We will refund any fees paid less reasonable charges for work performed.

16. Intellectual property

All website content (text, graphics, logos, software) is owned by or licensed to Default Gone. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written permission, except for personal non-commercial use.

17. Privacy

Our handling of your personal information is governed by the Privacy Policy.

18. Complaints

If you have a complaint, our Complaints Process describes how to raise it.

19. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. The courts of New South Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

20. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when changes were made. Material changes will be notified to active clients by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
